To suggest to women, especially older women, that (in some cases) they had nothing to do with the success of their husbands will, how can I put it gently to you, make them ANGRY.
Women have always helped their husbands in any way they could, but it hardly means they are qualified to do his job, and it doesn't mean they have on the job training. Laura Bush has been the Perfect First Lady, but that would hardly convince me to vote for her for President. Thus far, there has not been a lot of agreement about Hillary being instrumental in much- (see comments about Ireland and Macedonia from those who seem to know). It might make me angry if someone said I hindered my husband, and I would appreciate someone saying I am an asset, but crediting me with understanding and performing his actual job would be just plain silly.
Mary, you keep closing your posts with these jibes- calling Dale emotional, telling people to stop drinking the kool-aid and get a grip. Have you looked in your own glass recently? I think I see a smiley face in the frost.
