John, And the "Emotional and wacky environmentalist" have also given us cleaner air and water. Remember acid rain? It's been cut 50% and is expected to be cut another 50% from here. Ever wonder where the acid rain is coming from? Coal burning power plants. We have those because the enviros have killed the only viable alternative - nuclear. It is far better not to burn fossil fuels (that have all these pollutants) in the first place than burn the fossil fuels, and then spend a fortune of trying reduce the pollutants that result from burning fossil fuels. Those damn "Emotional and wacky environmentalist" are to blame! Yup. They give you acid rain. Then they cut acid rain in half and they are heroes. And frankly nuke power is not cheap... coal is a lot cheaper. No, actually nuclear is the cheapest in the long run, when you add construction and fuel prices. Coal and natural gas plants are the cheapest to build, but you pay for this "cheapness" by high fuel prices and by pollution. Joe
