EARNINGS 0.88 Q3 BELOW ESTIMATES - Revenue $6.2 Billion, up 20 Percent Q3 Earnings Per Share $0.88, up 19 Percent Record Quarterly Microprocessor Unit Shipments Third quarter revenue was $6.2 billion, up 20 percent from $5.1 billion for the third quarter of 1996.
