I don't find Wright's views all that odd. No, those views aren't all that odd. I'm not sure why you wouldn't believe what you read- or at least be very suspicious. I don't question that or why the average black person would believe it. I have known people who do. But I'm holding the leader of a huge congregation, one with national standing, to a higher standard. A leader isn't supposed to be a gullible as his flock. He's supposed to be sharp enough to rise above that and to lead them in a more constructive direction. So even if he wasn't "baiting" by your definition of the term, it's still no credit to him. It's still inexcusable IMO.
