( Off Topic ) RANDY AND TO ALL IN CASE YOUR INTERESTED,

Sorry to post this here, but if anyone has any interest, I just had a cable modem installed from my cable company. The speed is incredible.

I was using a K56 from MOT. Those connect speeds were up to 33,000 bps. This makes any phone connection seem like a joke.

Pricing is fairly decent, the modem can be leased at $10 month, or purchased for $300 ( I believe ), and the service with an existing account is approx. $ 30. per month. So far, this type of connect speed seems well worth the money. It is much faster than ISDN or T1 lines. They demonstrated a file download, it took 3 seconds for 3 meg, that file with a phone would have been about 30-40 minutes. Also you have no need for an extra phone line, or it is freed up for faxes etc.

I just thought I would let everyone know if they have contemplated trying one. Disclaimer, I do not work for the cable company or own stock in any :-).

Best Regards,
Tom
