You seem to be using "gullible", and "capable of believing something I, Lane3, choose not to believe", as synonymous.

There is believing and then there is believing. You're the one who introduced creationism. If you're talking about religious beliefs, people are entitled to them. What I believe is irrelevant. But "believing" that AIDS was cooked up in a US government lab for black genocide has nothing to do with religious beliefs even if it's being preached in a church. It's no different than "believing" that warts come from handling toads or watching TV causes your hair to fall out. These are secular questions of fact. What I believe is irrelevant here, too.

Perhaps my gentle use of "gullible" was a poor choice. I used it as a euphemism for "stupid." You have to be flat out stupid to believe that AIDS was purposely created in a lab. There are aspects of AIDS that is still not fully known, that that ain't one of them.

I'd also argue that this "belief" actually stems from a deep cynicism in the black community

I understand the cynicism. But cynicism is no excuse for not fact checking that which is fact checkable. You need only the internet and half a brain to get that one right.
