I disagree with that. I think Obama probably is a force for change. I think the very fact that he's brought this issue to white Americans (many of whom were terribly ignorant of this kind of black church and the ideas in it) has already proved his utility. To solve this problem will require conscious change- to be conscious we must be informed. As lots of people in the white community are now learning about liberation theology for the first time, I'd say that's a huge step in the right direction. The veil of ignorance is being lifted. Praise be. Hallelujah. I'd say the very fact that your little site is talking about a biracial man and a black minister and his church, shows just how effective Obama already is.
