Mme, A day or two ago I told a story of how we in Cleveland had a baseball player that was a real bum. None the less we cheered for him when he hit home runs and we rationalized rooting for a bum. He was our bum. When he left for another team he simply became the bum that he was. The desparate spinning of Rev(?) Wright is an example of rooting and excusing the home team bum. It is great fun to watch. Hey - we loved our bum and cheered all of his home runs! All the other stuff - heck - it did not matter - he hit home runs. I was fully guilty of rooting for the home team bum - just like those here rationalizing the Rev(?) Wright.
