I always when driving thru a high-crime area lock my car doors. i don't care the colour. it's the crime rate.

speaking of the mom again... i do many airport drives and i dislike a portion of the freeway drive so i go across town. that means driving thru one of the most depressed and high-crime areas of the city, which happens to be black. when i drive her thru there, she always is amazed, as none of her friends would ever go thru it. but... they are elderly people. in, to them, foreign territory. and unable to defend themselves in the event something happens. but, sadly, for many of them it is just that they would see so many black faces on the street. i dunno. i driven it so many times and... maybe i'm stupid. i figure if i like people okay they will like me okay. or at least not kill me. or steal my car without leaving me a quarter to call for a ride.

i admire my mother. i remember in the 60's when this whole race thing first heated up... so much talk. and be a table of her and other 'moms' yakking while we kids played and some one or another would try and diss blacks and she would cut them off... gentle but cold and to the point. no one ever talked back to her.

and i bet obama did the same. outside the pulpit. and he changed a lot of minds. it is not the place of a worshiper ever to call out their preacher in public. how's it these people not get that? maybe i call on bush to denounce the pope. yep. oh, wait. they agree on too much. but... the pope thinks i going to hell. i want him denounced for his hate speech against gays. now. today. do it. or else i will not vote for... someone. *wink*
