there is no story. there is not big tadoo re a preacher. ask any southerner who sits in a pew and listens at times, sometimes many times, to things they disagree with. sunday after sunday some person or another or another group is condemned to hell. it is religion. call it 'hate' if you wish. being one mostly always condemned to hell, i don't take it as 'hate'' speech. it is someone's religious beliefs. don't legistate it, i'm fine. so what''s the deal? rev wright is as non an issue as my vein-popping spit-spewing queer-hating preacher is. why do i 'tolerate' him? he is family. and somehwere in his heart of hearts i like to think he knows i ain't really going to hell, if there is such a place. it's called community.
