Lutz said GM screwed up by ceding the hybrid market to Toyota even though it had largely mastered EV technology in the 1960s. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- A telling statement if ever there was one. Weird thing is if they mastered the technology in the 60's why is it taking them until late 2010 to bring out an EV? The whole thing is very weird........if they had the tech. in the 1960s, why didn't they introduce it during the 1970s when OPEC was holding the nation hostage? Like I've said before on this thread, I think those in power have been manipulating the people of this country for a very long time. As another example of GM malevolence, it was they who bought the light rail systems in major American cities and dismantled them in the 1950s while expanding the bus systems which, of course, buy GM buses. Now American cities are having to spend many billions of dollars to replicate the systems that GM destroyed. I think the greatest boon of the internet will be to let Americans know the real truth about their 'great' democracy.
