Yes, the regulations should make sure that greedy bastards can't sell crap to morons at inflated prices in a way that will rebound on all of us. This transaction never should have happened, and it shouldn't in the future.


As usual, the regulations are going to come to late. It might help 20 years from now, but in the short-term, investors wont make the same mistake again. If interest rates stay low and money is looking for a home, they'll find a new place to waste their money other than housing.

If regulations are a good idea, we have plenty of time to look at what needs to be fixed. I very much doubt we could get that kind of legislation in the current environment.
