Allen, I believe the correct statement is that bankrupticies are in a large way, related to medical debt. This is from 2005 and uses data from 2001 but I have heard that the same still applies today ama-assn.org It is the main reason that as a country, we need to get it together and figure out a way to do this and not break the bank.
