I most want someone with a big toolbox in terms of experience, intellect, and perspective.

The main gulf between Hillary and Obama supporters is how they value her experience. You value it as an asset; others see the problems in Washington caused by the people who have been in Washington and run the place the last 20-30 years.

It's like people who prefer old doctors or young doctors. Sometimes the old doctor is the most skilled. And other times he may be so set in his ways, he won't use the best new treatments for what ails you.

It is likely that a Hillary presidency would be marked by much of the same left-right slanging we have seen for many years. She will be attacked by the same people for the same reasons.

Maybe an Obama presidency would end up that way, too. But he offers a hope of a different approach that scorns old politics and the experiences people gained fighting the old political wars.

It's not a difference that partisans here will change their minds about at this point. So be it. I won't lose any sleep at all if Hillary is president. But I won't be the least inspired. And I think her negatives make her very hard to elect, especially since she will have to fight and claw her way to a very narrowly won nomination.

JMHO.
