I think what might work best for the country would be to have Obama in the White House, providing leadership, and Hillary in the Senate providing big picture leadership.

Just before dinner tonight we watched portions of a Russert interview with Doris Kearns Goodwiin. He remarked that Obama had been asked if he could take only two books into the WH, which would he choose. He said the Bible and Goodwin's book, A Team of Rivals.

That suggests he might try to persuade his opponents to be in the cabinet, including some Reps.

After dinner we watched the first installment of the John Adams series. Both of us liked it. A great deal. Which doesn't happen all that often.
