I don't doubt Hillary is very smart and capable. That's why I wouldn't lose any sleep with her in the Oval Office. We would gradually phase out of Iraq, get more balanced appointees throughout government and see more effective regulation where the private sector and the environment need it.

But she will start out having survived a barrage of the same kind of attacks that made her believe the Clintons are the victims of a vast rightwing conspiracy. She will fire back as she promised to do.

And we will be walking through a replay-reel of the divided politics we have suffered with for decades.

I don't know if Obama can overcome that himself. But I am sure Hillary can't and won't.
