I don't think wanting to attack Americans abroad is enough reason to invade a country. It's just not worth the trillions it is costing. I can put a value on human life- and that's too much. On top of that, it's not worth blowing up thousands of Iraqis, many of them innocent, because Saddam might have been involved in a few overseas plots against Americans. That, to me, is a highly illogical expenditure of resources.

And full control of the country? Please- are we going to invade every country where the leader doesn't have full control? Better get your army ready- there must be a lot of countries we would have to put on that list. Unfortunately it's not a valid criteria under international law for starting a war. That's why Bush had to scamper to find the "threat" doctrine- of course when that falls away, he has a problem. He has an even bigger problem in that the country is really disgusted with him and his war, but I'm sure he'll be relieved to know you support him. At his low approval level every supporter helps.
