That would IMO accurately be labeled as morality.

Morality doesn't automatically mean non-secular. Perhaps most moral ideas are based on, or at least indirectly connected to religious ideas, but moral doesn't imply religious.

Since both words work, there is nothing wrong or negative about using ethics instead of morality, I just found it odd that you went beyond that and said "Since morality is not something that is part of my world view, my closest notion being ethics".
