President Gonzalez-Gamarra recently visited the Sustainable Power plant in Baytown, Texas and after reviewing plant operations and assessing the results of the Rivera Process, he fully endorsed the company operations in a press conference given in Baytown. At that conference, Ricardo Luna Waldheim from the Parlacen Department of Engineering, speaking for the Parlacen delegation, noted, "[Underdeveloped] countries don't have crude oil, but the do have the agriculture to make a joint venture... instead of being energy dependent, they could be exporting crude oil. Mr. Gonzalez-Gamarra served as a Deputy in the Guatemalan Congress (1994-96), President of the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Commission (1995-96) and Vice-President of Parlacen for the State of Guatemala (2006-07).

John Rivera, CEO of Sustainable Power Corp, stated, "We are happy to have President Gonzalez-Gamarra join our board at such an important time in our company's development. He will be a valuable asset in our expanding operations in Central and South America; President Gonzalez-Gamarra will be in a position to provide significant help in Guatemala where initial steps have been taken to produce up to 1 Giga-watt of green power to the private sector of the country."
