The whole article is pretty silly. The US isn't bankrupt and its power isn't collapsing.

Is US power growing? Is our financial position getting better?

As for the war, as expensive as it is, its a minor factor compared to the top of expense that would bankrupt the US.

So we "would" bankrupt the US after all?

And you would have it done to benefit Iraq rather than Americans?
