Syb -

More than once I've had people tell me that my belief that there were no WMDs in Iraq, nor facilities to make them, is just a delusion, based on my desire to believe it. More than once, I've had people refer me to Duelfer and the Iraq Survey Group report for proof that I was wrong.

What's especially weird about that is that I have read the Iraq Survey Group report, and I never found the proof these people said was there.

The other thing that's weird is the theory that the WMDs were there, but they were moved to Syria before our invasion. What I wonder about that theory is 1) why Bush did nothing about going after Syria if that was the case, and 2) why these WMDs have never been given to terrorists and used, since Syria is supposed to be a state sponsor of terrorism.

It's a puzzlement.
