Vietnam Mar Coffee Exports Down 13.8% At 2.5M Bags
HANOI (Dow Jones)--Vietnam's coffee exports in March are likely to have fallen 13.8% on year in terms of volume but increased 31.5% in terms of value, according to estimates issued Tuesday by the General Statistics Office.
The GSO said March coffee exports are expected to total 150,000 metric tons, or 2.5 million 60-kilogram bags, valued at $330 million.
In March 2007, Vietnam exported 174,000 tons valued at $251 million.
So far in this crop year, which started October, Vietnam has exported 622,000 tons, or 10.37 million 60-kg bags, down 18.2% on year.
