I'm not for the government making up stupid crimes. And making things that aren't a crime, a crime, by saying someone lied about them, doesn't impress me very much.

Your comment about jury nullification doesnt apply to Clinton. He was the accused...and letting the accused decide which charges are worthy of truthfulness makes no sense to me.

OTOH, I do agree with you in a sense. The lying clearly deserved some sort of punishment and if Congress had voted to impeach but then voted for an immediate acquital, the punishment would have fit the crime. Instead, the idiot Republicans took it to trial and managed to make Clinton look sympathetic. Clinton has always been lucky in his enemies....
