I don't agree with your opinion of the ROI of DOD spending, but the ROI is not the point of my statement anyway.

How do you square the fact that much of DofD spending takes place outside the US and acrues little monetary benefit back to the US treasury?

But worse is that we're borrowing from the world, some of it foreign countries potentially hostile to our interests, to pay these DofD expenditures. Does this make sense to you?

What domestic programs are you in favor of cutting in order to keep spending offshore like this? Keep in mind you need some pretty big programs to cut from. Piddly amounts like earmarks don't come close.
