I live in Portland. We sold our house at an obscene price last July, right before the mortgage excrement started hitting the fan. We've been renting, hoping that the market would play catch-up with the rest of the country. It's definitely softened here, but nothing like what I'd expected given the mortgage freezes.

I'd like to wait long enough to see the banks getting nervous on their foreclosures and finally start pricing them to sell. No idea how far off that is...
