There is an age old saying, and it says it all here.
"You get what you pay for."
If you want a different service don't ask Datek to change their business plan, go where the services you want are offered. If Cybertrader has what you want at a price you are willing to pay then move your account to Cybertrader. If you like Dateks services for $9.99 and intend to stay, then don't come on the tread flaming them.
Ideas in days past on this thread were presented and accepted and incorporated by Datek, Peter is much more apt to respond to some praise for the outstanding job he has done and a rational expression of an idea that might be incorporated into Dateks system, than he is to getting kicked in the teeth everytime he reads this thread. After a while it just isn't worth reading anymore.
For some reason and I for one don't understand it the people on this thread seem to think that they have to blast Datek for something. Three weeks ago it was customer service Datek put the right people in place and the problems seem to have disapeared, now it's vague references to the system is to slow, personally I have noticed a lag of an extra few seconds for the past week, but I know that if I go to Microsoft for a download of MSIE4.0 the web site is always busy that means to me that they still are bogging down the internet with 20,000,000,000,000 bytes of information a day in addition to all of the normal traffic. Their mirrors are still pumping out multiples of that number.
If Dateks service is bogging down you can be sure that they are in the process of adding equipment and lines to handle the workload.
One last thing, I have only once seen a Datek representative flame anyone on SI. So where do you get this rediculous idea that my flaming idiots makes me appear to be a Datek rep. As I have always said, I get good service, and when I get good service I am willing to say so. I just like to correct idiots when they are wrong.
