I see. Good article from Todd on Minyanville. What a mess... Mish, where did you get the 60% of Fed account being lent out? The Fed data in January (the colored picture that Lee Adler and others showed) suggested about 70-100 billion or so, which is around 15%. Thanks! FWIW, I think the USD meltdown phase has arrived, as the Fed dropped the rates a lot not caring about the effect this would have on the dollar. A market perception of decreased quality of US government debt could create an upward pressure on interest rates, eventually, fueling further significant downward spiral in housing. minyanville.com
