This only confirms my opinion that Nokia's sole purpose of litigation is to delay resolution as a negotiating tactic. Thus indirectly applying pressure to QCOM from it's shareholders to settle with Nokia at more favorable terms. Over the past year Nokia's stock has risen 30% while QCOM's has gone down 10%, while outperforming Nokia from a financial performance percentage.

They aren't disputing the validity of QCOM's patents or the requirement to compensate QCOM for the patents. This is the only tactic available to them to squeeze a better deal from QCOM. Just like they squeeze component manufacturers. They have incorporated assistance from other industry leaders to aid their cause.

Nothing personal, just business.

You can choose to hate Nokia (take it personal) or admire them (just business).
