A very good friend of mine has been a regional ,sub-prime, sales manager for National City Bank for several years. He used to joke about how many millions of dollars of bad loans they were selling to the Chinese. "They'll buy anything we send 'em, and everybody else in the country is doing the same thing". Now the Chinese say they have virtually no exposure to the sub-prime crisis. Someone is lying. Who checks the books on Chinese banks? We can't even get our own banks to be honest about their exposure.
