Much bigger. I suggest you read about "Ice Calving" It happens in warm or cold.

You should read on how polar ice is formed, how glaciers are formed...ice shelfs etc. This is far too much involved than to see a piece break off and go bananas or politicize it. Before planes and satellites much large calving went unknown.

It isn't your fault and you don't have to apologize for it.
