At any rate, it would seem strange to claim its CO2 pushing it up since CO2 has generally followed temperature changes throughout earth's history.

As I keep pointing out, when someone makes that argument, they are clueless.

The fact that CO2 lags temp in the pre human meddling era, but is leading temp this time round is one of the smoking gun reasons we call it AGW. Don't you ever learn anything?

Perhaps you could poll your fellow bashers here and ask them what the signifigance of CO2's phase relative to temp means wrt to the historical record vs now. I'd be very interested in knowing how many of them agree with you, or not. I suspect that at least a few of them understand that your claim is actually a serious problem for AGW bashers, but I wonder how many are that awake. Please do try and report back the results. We already know where your vote lies.
