Yeah, I remember the 80s all too well... over half the county population where I was from '80-'87 was receiving some subsidy or another and county unemployment rate was close to 17%... I hated that place and because of that, I tend to look back at the 80s as my least favorite decade since I spent 7 years of it in a h#llhole.

Visited a friend in Carlsbad, CA in 10/87, by the end of 11/87 I'd sold my interest in the newspaper in TN and was living in Carlsbad sr. editor of a baseball rag.
