Watching Hillary on the stump reminds me of the days of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (Benazir's father) when he campaigned for the Presidency of Pakistan. He was very dramatic. Once he tore open his shirt right in front of the crowd to challenge General Zia, who was then the military chief who went to become President himself through a violent military coup.

Those are third world politics and it is very unfortunate that this country is sliding down that path. A common accolade from the pundits is that Obama spoke to us like adults when he delivered his speech on race. He was very poised and looked into the camera and in people's eyes. He didn't raise his finger, or did not keep his chin raised up and look down to speak. Maybe that is one of the reasons that gave people the feeling that he spoke to us like adults.
