ROTFL They will cut spending when they get the message that it is a priority. Right now the best chance we have to transmit that message it is to implement a Term Limit Constitutional Amendment. An additional Amendment that eliminated all unfunded retirement benefits for elected or previously elected officials would reduce the desirability of the office and probably improve the character of those running for office. It would not eliminate the Teddy Kennedys but carpetbaggers like the Clintons might not find it as desirable.
