If I remember correctly, they were talking BIG. Not only browser, Windows would be irrelevant, they were tring to replace Windows, the core business of MSFT. I think it is NSCP declared war first and MSFT responsed. I think I read some article said that MSFT tried to corporate with NSCP first and was refused, so the war was started. :-)

When I said business is war, I mean business competions have so many similarities to the war even though there is no blood and death involved. But it is really fight for the stronghold, fight for the survival, fight for the control. The ways of fights are also similar, you make allies, destructing your enemy, find the weakest part of your enemy to attack. The results are also similar, the winner write the history and has the last say.

OK. I am talking too much about war here just seems I like the war. But it is life, it is human nature. That is why so many people like war games. They can't or won't fight in their real life. They fight in their imaginations.
