Still thinking. Please convince me. I am heavily weighted toward gold stocks based on gold:xau ratio and conceptual understanding of gold as money.

Understand oil's role, but the fact is that oil is up 12x from its lows while gold is up 4x. Meanwhile money is slowly being debased. So oil can hold its value, but it's hard for me to see if appreciating based on fundamentals at this point, at least until, we're in a situation similar to 2003-2007 where there is simultaneous debasement + growth....also known as inflation.
