I don't want to get anything political started here, but the games with the CPI started with Willy and the sole reason for making the changes was to reduce the entitlement payments.

I'll have to admit that no one has has gone back to the way it was calculated pre-Willy, so both parties are guilty.

The sad part is the people living on social security spend the highest percentage of their money on the items that have gone up the most and are being excluded/played with in the calculations. They are the ones who need the increase a lot more than we need spend money to free the whole blank blank world.

BTW if they calculated inflation the way it was done pre Willy entitlements would be about 33% higher today.
