The President stated a course of action and followed through even when it was extremely unpopular and unpolitical. I see enormous character and honesty. Actually, it was extremely popular in this country. His ad men made sure of that. Forcing Blix to leave the country, evaluating the evidence as he (and his people) did (or more accurately, did not), ignoring plans and contingencies like those that Tony Zinni had drawn up several years earlier concerning an invasion of Iraq--those things don't show character or honesty. They show stubbornness and stupidity. The actions of the dry drunk that the man was and is.
