Actually, the opposite happens.

If you produce oil from beneath a "gas cap", the overall reservoir pressure drops.
As pressure at depth is reduced, it causes expansion of any existing gas cap and also causes gas that was in solution under higher pressure to come out of solution and add to the gas cap (like loosening the cap on a pop bottle).

The drop in reservoir pressure works against natural oil flow to surface.
