There's a very good reason why very little LNG is reaching terminals in the United States.

The price of imported LNG is significantly higher than the price of natural gas from domestic and Canadian producers.

Who in their right mind would pay a higher price, just to turn around and sell it at a loss? No one - well almost no one.

The LNG which is flowing into US ports is generally already committed under contract, with no current incentive to sign for more. At least one utility is involved in this trade because they can were already authorized to pass on the higher of the gas to their rate payers, and they have a financial interest in the LNG terminal.
