I think universal health care would make our companies more competitive globally and solve a host of problems. As for myself, I consider myself "self-insured" and I keep a large stash of cash for emergencies, pay out of pocket for all my medical needs and carry no insurance. I've always believed that insurance is a scam sold on fear. I used to sweat not having insurance, but got over it. Life is risky - embrace it.
