Chip, if you had been watching the fundamentals you would have discovered that the $.01 would have increased to between $.03 and $.04 were it not for currency translation issues associated with their mfg plant in Finland (which is a non-recurring item). You would have also discovered that the company said that currency translation issues are now under control. It's foolish to speculate on slowing earnings growth when you ignore the underlying issues.

Financial analysis is no more predictive of the future than T/A, but financial analysis can give you a good picture of the efficiency of the operation at all levels. In addition, financial analysis can spotlight deteriorating trends in margins, sales, inventory levels etc. It's best use is too weed out financially weak companies.
