3/28/08 update
When the week began, it looked like the bulls were getting ready to take back a sizable chunk of territory. But such hope faded as the week progressed and the Nasdaq Composite Index closed Friday down -14.75% YTD, pretty much where it wound up the prior week (down -14.86% YTD).
Nonetheless, both the Nasdaq Biotech Index and the Contest portfolios did manage gains for the week. At week's end, the NBI was down -8.08% YTD (vs. -10.77% YTD a week ago), while the median of the Contest portfolios closed off -11.25% YTD (vs. -13.64% YTD a week ago).
At Friday's close, there were five of the 33 Contest portfolios in the black YTD with 15 of the portfolios beating the NBI. ROBERT's portfolio kept the lead with a 21.7% YTD gain and GENE's portfolio took over second place with a 3.8% YTD gain.
Enjoy a March Madness weekend folks!
