According to the latest numbers, the bullish sentiment was 68.22% (bulls/bulls+bears), and the 4-week moving average increased to 65.91%. Still a lot of bullishness in this sentiment indicator.

--IOW, the 68.22 bullishness sentiment figure in 2000 compares with the recent 40.87. Is that correct?

If so, I don't understand where Hussman is coming from. I guess he's analyzing a number of bears, rather than just the 2000-2002 bear. But anyway, it's interesting that there is a lot less bullishness now than there was at a comparable point in the 2000-02 bear.

Thanks for the info.
