$1.15/l here in Edmonton, Alberta today, where we actually produce and refine the stuff!

That's US$4.43 per US gallon, or US$5.34 per imperial gallon.
A bargoon by European standards but still 25% more than in the US where drivers consume this same oil shipped from Edmonton!
