Blown away by the continuing generosity of the SI biofreak community, I recently received a note from my kids' pediatrician........ donations continue to pile in -- in my honor -- to the J.F. Kapnek Trust. One particularly generous donation was rec'd as 2007 was winding down.... you know who you are...... THANKS!! The fund's admin costs run at 5%. That's 95% which goes (largely) to fight pediatric AIDS and medical education for women in Zimbabwe. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll be running in a Kapnek 5K, April 13th, and I pledge to run one 5K for every $500 pledged in my name. In the event that I have wealthy enemies out there, I do NOT promise to run all of them in one day. ;-) I'll fund the registration of any S.I. contributor/lurker who wants to show up and run and/or walk the 5K.
