It's all being done to deflect attention away from the crisis and those who profited from it. Daily press conferences and speeches about how aware and how diligent and committed the govt has become on preventing this disaster from reoccurring when they know full well the chances of a repeat bubble happening within our lifetimes as a result of similar conditions are basically nil. It's like outlining an 85 page plan in twelve languages to not letting someone slam the car door on your head for the second time. Political babble.

This was a well-orchestrated bamboozling by those in charge who were fully aware of each and every stage of the game. It began with artificial low rates, insured with BK reform, and blessed and sold by the perpetrators.

Hank Paulson:"This effort is not about finding excuses and scapegoats."
Of course you don't want to focus on the whos and the hows when that would only draw attention to your circle.

So why does the press not push for accountability and punishment rather then allow these idiots to carry on? In the end, the guiltiest parties will walk way scot-free and not a thing will have been solved.
