Be sure to give full consideration to the rear projection models. Much more bang for the buck, with full HD capability. The knock was always bulkiness but current designs are quite sleek. The only real stop might be an inability to hang on the wall. Recently bought a 65" Mitsubishi rear projector HDTV on Amazon for $1500. Free shipping, free stand, no sales tax.
