I don't know. I do have a generally good opinion of the US government and military though, and if they detained him I believe they had a good reason to do so..

The fact we've released so many of the people we've detained shows imo the government is trying hard not to detain innocent people. Unfortunately some of the released persons have returned to the battlefield in Afghanistan and been killed there. That indicates that if anything the US is giving detainees too much of the benefit of the doubt, not the reverse.
