Last update: 3/31/2008 3:15:43 PM

(Updates with "no comment" from Citigroup.)

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Citigroup Inc.'s (C) restructuring plan may result in job cuts of up to 10% of the bank's employees, reports CNBC's Charlie Gasparino, citing sources inside Citi.

Between 20,000 to 30,000 jobs could be cut through a combination of attrition, selling businesses and layoffs, Gasparino said.

Gasparino also reported that at the moment, Citi has no plans to sell its Smith Barney wealth-management unit.

A spokesman for Citi declined to comment on the Smith Barney report.
